Kevin Baez was a shortstop for the New York Mets in 1990, 1992 and 1993. Baez attended college at Dominican College and was drafted by the New York Mets in the 7th round in 1988. He made his debut on September 3, 1990. In 63 career games, he was 27 for 126 (a .179 average). He had 7 career RBIs. Baez played in his final game on October 3, 1993. He is currently the manager for the Long Island Ducks and led them to the Atlantic League Championship, the second in their history, Kevin had a major part in both as he was a player on the Ducks first championship. He is joined by a member of the 2011 Ducks Commack's own Matt Fleishman.
